Pyotr, an astonishingly bright young man, often finds himself dismayed at how dim witted many sons of the nobility are. He has just come from a formal dinner with many of the young bucks that will posess much influence in Russia, "Gordon, I dread to think how our armies will fare when these morons are in charge of entire regiments..." Pyotr looked genuinely worried.
"Indeed sir, some of them are quite... slow?" Gordon tried to be delicate on the issue.
"Slow? I've seen damned bricks with quicker wits than those twits! We shall have to do something about it!"
Educational Reforms of Pyotr the Great:
1 - There will be founded a new 'Moscow Academy of Maths and Science', the school will provide accomodation for all students and will include the following curriculum;
I - Mathematics.
II - Physics, Biology and Chemistry.
III - Literature, with an emphasis on European treatises on morals, ethics and economics.
IV - Military service, all members of the Academy will enlist in the 'Parade Regiment of the Moscow Academy' they will learn tactics, operational strategy, logistics and general principles on the conduct of war.
2 - All sons of the nobility below the age of 18 must attend the newly established 'Moscow Academy of Maths and Science'.
3 - Any member of the Nobility who is unable to read and write to the required level will be banned from service in the military or any branch of government.
4 - Sons of the Nobility who graduate the Academy will be required to spend a year of service with a government, business or military overseas. They will return after a year and bring with them experience, expertise and any individuals who will be able to contribute to the modernisation of the Russian state.
Pyotr commissions various architects and scholars to found the school and requests a quota on how much it will cost to found the school. Pyotr will also send personal invitations to scholars, architects and Officers from Europe to teach at the new Academy.
