Total Income: 121,300 per annum
National Modifiers:
Treaty of Karlowitz: The Ottoman Empire has admitted defeat on it's Western front. They have accepted and recognised the now fixed borders with Austria, the Commonwealth and Venice. As a result, the Ottoman elite feel it is necessary to renew their glories on other fronts. (Increased revolt risk, mitigated by military victories) Russian Threat: Having agreed a peace treaty with the Holy League, a new menace has emerged. Many of the Eastern European powers now feel comfortable treating with the Ottomans in an attempt to prevent the westward expansion of Russia.
Ruler Modifiers:
Ghazi: Ahmet III is recognised as an experienced soldier and commander. Armies under his direct command gain morale and ferocity in battle.
Great Endeavours: Ahmet III is expected to lead the Empire away from the embarrassment at Karlowitz and again to greatness. Ottoman victories lead to greater morale increases and internal instability is offset by war.

The Balkan army is to reposition itself, fortifying a position on the south of the eastern Danube.
The Janissary loyalists are to join forces with the Army of Macedonia, who shall fall under the command of Sultan Ahmet.
Koprulu Numan Pasha is to take up command of the Army of Anatolia, which is to incorporate the Army of Thrace and move to Serbia to await further orders.
The Comte de Bonneval is given command of the Balkan Army.
The announcements are justified as follows:
"The House of Osman prepares for war against Venice. With tensions rising on the borders, it is necessary to ensure our back is not turned while we reincorporate lost territory. The Ottomans are only hostile towards the Venetians at present. Our Russian friends should know that our forces are intentionally deployed south of the Danube, far from the border, to provide security without causing alarm."

The Ottomans demand the return of Morea, which is rightfully theirs. They also wish to gain possession of Split. In return for these concessions they would be willing to guarantee the safety, security and independence of La Serenissima, and sign a treaty of eternal peace and friendship. Positive trading relations with Venice would be very much appreciated by the Sublime Porte, but the recent loss of Morea is a scar on the national consciousness that can not go without remedy.
If these territorial concessions are made, the freedoms and rights of Venetians resident in seized lands will be inviolable and guaranteed by the Sublime Porte. No-one will be displaced or dispossessed by the exchange. If the terms are accepted, Venice will go from being a despised offender against the majesty of the Ottomans, to a close bosom friend, and the Sublime Porte will show a great deal of gratitude.

"Ahh, Bonasera, they want Morea, they want Split, and these guarantees that they make... Their religion forbids the displacement, or the dispossessing... Their Mehmet stood above the fires of Constantinople, moaning as his armies ravaged it;" (and here, the Doge adopted an exceedingly sarcastic tone) "Oh, no! Such travesty! I weep! I weep! How could this tragedy have befallen such a fine city, that I have conquered, with my armies, who obey only me, who are looting, and raping, and if only, O! great Allah! If only there was some way, some man, a fellow of great power, who perhaps held sway over my army, who could possibly command them to stop this criminality, which is happening before my very eyes, which sit before my very brain, which is unable to stop this very tragedy..!"
He stewed for a bit.
"Never mind that Morea belonged to the Byzantines first. Well, I suppose that this is our divine punishment for sacking Constantinople in the first place... These things come and go."
A very polite letter indeed is sent via diplomatic channels to the Ottoman authorities, in which the Doge offers Split to the Sublime Porte for the measly sum of 5000 ducats, in order that some semblance of dignity may be upheld.
The Doge will arrange for the departure of Venetian officials and governance from Morea. Privately, between him and his bathroom mirror, the Doge is pleased to be rid of what he terms a 'turbulent dog egg'.

Rami Mehmed Pasha runs with such jubilation that he is forced to do an on-the-spot jig as the palace eunuchs open the doors to the Enderun, the highly restricted inner courtyard. Even the Grand Vezir only saw beyond this gate on very special occasions. This was one of those occasions. A victory without bloodshed. An enemy turned friend. The world has never surrendered its charms with such ease.
"Hunkarum," the Grand Vezir bowed.
"Arkadaşım," greeted the Sultan warmly, without rising from his seat.
"Victory, my lord. Before the Janissaries have even left the city! We may buy Split with gold instead of blood, and the Venetians say that they are glad to be rid of our Morean dhimmi. Apparently they are something of a menace."
The Sultan laughed openly, in this private meeting with his Grand Vezir. The pair walked through the Tulip gardens for some time, before the Grand Vezir departed.
The Sublime Porte accepts the price for Split, and gladly take back possession of Morea.
The Sublime Porte apologise for assuming the Doge would take the same aggressive posture as his predecessors. The Venetians are always welcome at the Seraglio.

Koprulu Numan Pasha and Bonneval are to exchange commands. The talented Rumeli Beylerbey is required in the endangered Polish frontier more than he is needed on the Austrian front, where the armies are under the capable command of the Sultan.

The armies of Anatolia and Macedonia are to be reformed. Instead of two large armies, they are to be split into a large imperial army, and a garrison for Bratislava, which will be tasked with advising and aiding the Hungarian defences. They will base themselves in Bratislava, but the bombardiers will travel to other border fortresses to advise the Hungarians on counter-mining methods, chemical compounds, defense mechanism, and re-fortification.
The armies will split their functions and following the Battle of Gorz, the Sultan will lead the larger army south, and the French convert Bonneval will lead the Huncaristan Ordusu to Bratislava to fortify it against attack.
The armies will be as follows:
Serdar-ı azam Ordusu (Army of the Grand General), commanded by Sultan Ahmet III: Marching South.
10,000 Azabs 18,000 Foot Artillery 12,000 Janissaries 3,000 Bombardiers 10,000 Timariots 5,500 Sipahis 500 Mamluks 400 Demi-Cannons 500 Siege Bombards
Macaristan Ordusu (Army of Hungary), commanded by Bonneval: Garrisoned in Bratislava.
1,000 Timariots 6,000 Azabs 100 Siege Bombards 1,000 Bombardiers

Note: Serdar-i Azam is a military title wielded by the Grand Vezir in his capacity as commanding general on imperial campaigns. Of course, in this campaign the roles are slightly reversed with the Vezir left at home while the Sultan campaigns, but the name is still nice.
