Before the Anglo-Ducth forces are able to execute their own marching orders, the newly established Spanish army, El Nuevo Ejercito, rapidly marches towards Ghent. William only has a few days to prepare his defense of the city, or enact his retreat.

I suppose William will defend the city, Marlborough and the Army of Holland will march north and relieve the siege.

The Army of Phillip is ordered to halt until further orders are received.
The Spaniards are informed of intelligence relating to a Dutch relief force. French reinforcements are therefore en route.

Marlborough returns with his Dutch and English armies. Receiving news of a ceasefire, he holds up in Ghent with the King.

With no declaration from the Emperor, August issues a statement publicly. He calls on William, King of England, Scotland, and Ireland, and Stadtholder of the Netherlands to withdraw his forces from the Empire. He reiterates the Empire's protection to all states that breaches of their sovereignty are protected under Imperial Law.
Should HM wish to pass through the Empire when not co-belligerent in war, he must request the permission of the Imperial States through which he passes.
August, sovereign of Bremen, having received no request for access or basing in his territory refuses the right of William to send any force to Bremen.
He hopes that William will follow the normal diplomatic channels in future.

Hanover is not part of the war with Denmark, and George Louis refuses to go with Marlborough. He does, however, offer access.

Of course, Bill can't go straight there. But he could always land in Holstein. He could still go through Imperial territory, though it would be slightly impolitic and would likely escalate the conflict.
