Mohacs. Home of the horselords.
On this plain, over a century ago, Suleyman himself defeated the armies of Hungary in a decisive slaughter that saw some 14,000 Hungarians lose their lives, including the king himself and over a thousand nobles. On this site, too, a mere generation ago, the Ottomans lost a decisive battle against their Habsburg rivals, and lost that which they had gained on the very same battlefield so long before. An outdoor religious service is held, with the Sultan praying with his men, dedicated to the memory of Suleyman the Magnificent. The army is to camp here at night, and songs of past glories are sung until many hours after dark. The next morning, a final prayer is made, and the army departs once more, following the course of the Danube. The Ottomans march to Budin (Buda).
1,000 Timariots are detached from the Army of Anatolia to patrol the Hungarian plains for scouts, and other troublemakers. They are to maintain law and order to ensure the smooth movement of good by river.
