His Imperial Highness has decreed that the Imperial Diet of the Holy Roman Empire will meet towards the end of 1704
There are issues currently festering in the political background that the Emperor has decided should be put through the Empire's executive-judicial process so as to produce results that are both legitimate and strong guards against instability
To be clear, although the Diet is always in perpetual session, all members are invited to discuss the Empire's most pressing issues when the Emperor asks for its convening in mid-late 1704. However, before the Diet makes any decisions that are binding - binding on all members that is - any and all preliminary conclusions should be put through the Imperial courts, the Empire's supreme executive-judicial bodies, so that any decisions have been subject to detailed scrutiny to ensure they are both fair, legitimate, in terms of dynastic claims, and, legal according to Imperial law. Once the court has made a decision (which could take up to 300 years or thereabouts) the Diet will further discuss the matter and, then, when satisfied, approve it
This is a chance for members to make reasoned arguments (and counterarguments) to the Emperor, other members, and the executive institutional bodies of the Empire
