Following a rebuffed attempt at diplomacy with the Duke, HSH prepares for a campaign to force Holstein out of the war.
He calls upon the Polish Royal Army (Sieniawski) to assist.
Wettin Strength
Army of the Saxons (Friedrich August) - Stralsund 1 Regiment Chevau Leger 2 Regiments of Dragoons 2 Regiments of Grenadiers 2 Regiments of Line 1 Regiment of Engineers 1 Regiment of Artillery (Cannon) 1 Regiment of Artillery (Howitzer)
Royal Army (Sieniawski) - Warsaw 2 Regiments of Husarze 1 Regiment of Dragoons 7 Regiments of Line 1 Regiment of Engineers 1 Regiment of Artillery (Cannon) 1 Regiment of Artillery (Howitzer)
Orders: Army of the Saxons to march on Bad Oldesloe, there to establish a fortified forward base to act as a supply point. Reconnaissance will be performed from this point into the interior of Holstein to establish where Holsteiner forces are deployed, and in what strength.
Royal Army to march to Bad Oldesloe, with further campaign plan to be devised once armies are combined and reconnaissance has been conducted.

Your reconnaissance personnel return, their horses exhausted. They claim that the co-regent of Schleswig-Holstein, Christian August, Prince of Eutin, is leading his army towards your force. This is not the key cause for concern, this is a smaller force and an inferior commander, they also spotted the Swedish fleet disembarking an army to North-East. There is no doubt that the forces intend to combine and force the Army of the Saxons from their advanced position. They will arrive long before the Royal army from Warsaw. You have a choice, stand and fight, or fall back and save your force for another day.

"Humbugged...", August mutters to himself, "Humbugged again. So be it."
August makes the call to break camp, and withdraw to Stralsund, the Army of the Saxons is too small, too over extended to meet the combined army of Holstein and Sweden.
In Stralsund, he will unite his forces with the Royal Army and finally bring the fight to his foes!

The Prince of Eutin relinquishes command of his force to Dahlbergh. The two combined armies occupy the North side of the river at Bad Oldesloe. They seem to intend to stay put, inviting the Saxons to make the first move.

If he hasn't yet retreated, he assesses the size of the force arrayed against him...
OoC: What is the force I'm up against? Combine Holstein and Swedish Skaane Army?

Bravo, thank you. Not so unfortunate, they rather outnumber the Saxons! Hah.
