The Imperial Army under Tsar Pyotr has arrived at the city of Minsk! The army will lay siege to the city and demand its immediate surrender. A signed letter is sent to the city's mayor promising that if the city surrenders within one day they will be spared a sacking. He promises to keep the bulk of less disciplined Russian troops outside of the city and to prevent his cavalry from ravaging the countryside. He points to the fact that the Royal army has not moved in over a year and promises that if the city does not surrender then Tsar Pyotr will allow his men to do whatever they please with the city.
Siege lines are formed and engineers get to work preparing trenches and tunnels. The siege artillery begin massed fire on certain points along the wall, aiming to bring down four to five sections.
The Cavalry patrol the countryside, aiming to intercept any reinforcements.
The infantry are prepared to advance en mass once the gaps are opened. The irregulars will form a skirmish line and will be the first into the breach, absorbing the enemy fire. The Line Infantry will then surge in, followed by the Lifeguards if needed. Without a surrender the troops will be allowed to loot to their hearts content. The civilian population will not be spared.
