Due to the Danish Fleet being entrusted to Swedish command, Charles XI order the following devastating raid on the Hanseatic fleet at port in Lubeck:
Danish and Swedish fleets are to combine, their ships are to be prepared for naval boarding:
With the Swedish Fleet leading the attack, and Danish troops to support, but under the Swedish flag for the sake of clarity of orders, they are to align and launch a night-time surprise attack, having spent the day seemingly escorting transport ships towards Copenhagen.
All ships are to sweep into the harbour at Lubeck, aiming to board the Hanseatic fleet at their berths, with the aim of capture in mind. Given the Hanseatic fleet has received no order to be prepared for war, there should be minimal sailor numbers aboard. Swedish and Danish fleets are to escape with the Hanseatic fleet in tow.
nb: Wherever possible, lives are to be saved, those that surrender peacefully are to be allowed to row back to land on landing craft, with a letter to be handed to the Mayor of Lubeck, along with the populace of the town.
Notes, written in German, Swedish, Polish, Danish etc are to be distributed, explaining that the Holy Roman Emperors has chosen to use the Holy Roman Empire to advance Catholic Austria's ambitions against Swedish territories in the Baltic, thereby sulleying the name of the Holy Roman Empire. He coerced the Brandenburgers into the war. The Baltic Sound will be closed to Hanseatic and HRE shipping until the Holy Roman Emperor chooses to renounce his claims on Bremen and withdraw.
The following demands are to be made:
Recompense must be paid to the Swedish for the attack on Bremen and Pomerania.
Recompense must be paid to the Hanseatic League for the rebuilding of their fleet, which he put in jeopardy with his attempted irridentist expansionism.
Recompense must be paid to the entirety of the HRE for lost trade incomes, as a result of the Emperors actions, without due protection, causing damage to the nations of the HRE.
Captured ships are to be taken as recompense from the Austrian Emperor, to the Swedish Naval Command in Karlskrona. The Austrian Emperor has been found to be guilty and liable for damages against the Swedish Crown by a private hearing of the Riksdag, his ignorance of the duties of diplomacy has been factored into this also.
