Under the directives of the French King, the army of the Duc de Luxembourg leaves Genoa peaceably upon concluding successful negotiations with the respective and newly elected Doge. The army in question, though bloodied, is in high spirits and relatively well supplied owing to the purchase of provisions from Genoa and the proportionately short supply lines to France.
Their destination is Parma. Military envoys are sent in advance of the army in order to negotiate the passage of the Sun King's forces through mainland Italy. They are optimistic that following France's show of force in Genoa and the advertisement of the King's willingness to pay reasonable rates for his forces's purchase of supplies and rights of passage that the the Farnese family will oblige easy locomotion.
Upon reaching Parma, the army is to await the arrival of French reinforcements and orders regarding their next marching terminal. In that time, the Duc is to seek an audience with the Duke of Parma in the hopes of winning his support for the upcoming assault on Venice.
The army is question:
10,500 Line Infantry 800 Engineers 500 Dragoons 250 Field Guns 25 Howitzers
(OoC: I think the force composition is right according to the losses you described. If not, feel free to edit the post to make the relevant corrections, thanks!)

The Duke of Parma realises he cannot hold off the army and consents to French passage. They fortify the Parmanese army in the capital, fearful of treachery.
Doge Odoardo is willing to hear terms for further support, but whether Parmanese support is worth the effort of France to push for is another point to consider.
