Owing to the wanton aggression of the Holy Roman Empire toward a peaceable neighbour in the form of Swedish Pomerania, the Sun King Louis XIV has seen fit to grant Charles II request that the Spanish Netherlands be garrisoned by French troops and become considered a protectorate of the French throne. Such is the worry and anguish of the benighted and incapacitated Charles II that his foreign possessions should fall prey to wolves dressed in sheep's clothing, an apt metaphor in the case of the revanchist and militarist Leopold I, that he considers no alternative viable other than to request French assistance in whatever capacity Louis XIV might lend it.

No such request has been made, the garrison of Antwerp will be considered hostile if continued.

What drivel. Louis XIV demands a direct audience with Charles II to address whatever false information the Spanish king's subversive cabal of advisers have spread through the Spanish Netherlands, directly contradicting the express insistence of Charles II that French troops are to garrison Antwerp.

Louis XIV seems to be getting ideas above his station, he cannot demand anything of the King.

Louis XIV regrets that the Spanish Netherlands cannot be demilitarized until his concerns are relieved.

French troops engaged in the defense of the Spanish Netherlands make preparation to leave in due time.
Their destination is Paris.
