The French army departing the Dutch Republic return to Namur and re-garrison the fortified town. A contingent of 6 Line Regiments, 100 Field Guns and 2,000 Dragoons also garrison the city of Antwerp, upon the express insistence of the Sun King's friend and ally, Charles II of Spain.
