To show that all corners of the Holy Roman Empire will be visited during this Grand tour, Leopold pays an imperial visit to one of the HRE's more northern members, that is Brunswick. He meets the officer crops and with them he discusses meaningful ways in how the confederation can be defended from the north, should be attacked. He inspects the army of Brunswick while it is on manoeuvres. On meeting the Duke of Brunswick, Leopold and the Duke discuss at lengthen the question of Brandenburg. With this they evaluate the risk of conflict with Brandenburg. Leopold though dismissed this remark "Peace...that's all we want"

Ernest Augustus, Elector of Brunswick-Luneburg, greets the Emperor with glee. He had not met with Emperor since the Battle of Vienna, and was glad to have the opportunity to share old war stories. The Elector of course was concerned about the growing power of Brandenburg, particularly due to the fact that his lands had not recovered properly since the Thirty Years War. He is, however, disappointed in the Emperor's decision to sideline his wife, Sofia of the Palatinate during the crisis of the Palatinate succession, and urges his Imperial majesty to reconsider in light of the important role his family have played in recent years.

Leopold of course did not mean to cause any offense, however the Court of Vienna shall rethink its decision over the coming weeks whilst it watches the French-Dutch war unfold. He wishes to reassure the Elector of Brunswick-Luneburg that he is safe from Brandenburg. Austria is determined to protect all states of the Holy Roman Empire, and so guarantees the borders of Brunswick-Luneburg.
