On visiting the Palatinate, area of the most recent political crisis, Leopold declares his absolute intention that while he stands as Holy Roman Emperor "there will be not a step back". In order to uphold the Holy Roman Empire as a means to ensure its members protection the border of the Holy Roman Empire has been declared an irremovable line on the map. This is the Emperors absolute commitment to the defence of the HRE, not a single member shall lose an inch of its land, from either another member or an outside aggression. The Emperor added though possible ideas for a greater and more effective collective defence, this would be discussed at a later date. In the mean time Leopold has made it clear is aim to keep the confederation united in the face of troubled times at home, and safe in the face of attack from aboard. He further added, the collapse of the Holy Roman Empire would be a disaster and must be avoided.
