With great enthusiasm Leopold tours the country side of Baden. He even inspects a harvest in the south of Baden, which fascinates him deeply. In the capital of Baden, still amazed by the harvest, Leopold meets Baden's nobles, political elite and leading religious leaders for a banquet held in his honour. He proclaims Baden as a "gem in the crown of the Holy Roman Empire, populated by a notably hard working volk".

Louis William, Margrave of Baden-Baden, makes a speech in Leopold's honour. Known by his many nicknames including: Turkenlouis, The Shield of the Empire, and the Red King (due to the distinctive redcoat he wore in battle). He boasts an impressive military career, having reputedly never lost a battle, but remains distinctly humble in his demeanour. Having done away with all the homage to the Emperor, he credits the Emperor for seeing away with the Danger from the East and warns against French expansion into Holy Roman Territory. Leopold would be wise to keep Louis William close due to his overwhelming popularity among German Catholics.

Leopold thanks Louis William, Margrave of Baden-Baden, for the his speech. Leopold was extremely honoured by what he heard, and looks forward to further strengthening the relationship between both Baden-Baden and Austria. Louis William should know that the Rhine is safe, Baden-Baden is secure - this is Austria's promise.
