The Holy Roman Empire makes note of visiting the major towns and cities of the duchy of Wurttenburg. He ends his tour of the country side, and of the towns and cities, by visiting the Royal family at their palace in Stuttgart. In Stuttgart, Leopold admires the fine architecture of the city before discussing matters of defence and reaffirming his absolute commitment to defend the Holy Roman Empire. He attends a public mass at the city centre with the Duke of Württemberg, standing among the higher and lower orders of the Duchy. He was most pleased his chance to talk to such a mix of people, in front of them he declared "The beautiful duchy of Württemberg is secure, she is under Austria's protection". He also, inspects the Stuttgart garrison, and as with his visit to Ansbach, he meets with the officer crops and listens to ideas concerning defence and military co-operation between the states of the Holy Roman Empire.

The Young Duke, Eberhard Louis, is only nine years old, and offers little in the way of constructive policy. Preferring to shout at regular intervals 'Crush the Turks!' and 'Surrender Frenchies!'

Leopold of course laughed and was pleased to see such enthusiasm from the young Duke, commenting that "one day he will be a great general". It should be noted that Leopold had detailed conversations with Eberhard Louis's advisors, from which much was gained.
