The Army of the Caucuses under General Boris Sheremetev has marched into Circassia in order to occupy the port city of Sochi. He has at his back a reinforced army with which he will establish Russian influence and ward off any further Ottoman expansion.
Boris has the army marching at speed in order to reach Sochi before any Circassian troops can descend from their mountain fastness. He also wishes to secure the vital port before the Ottomans get there. He sends his Dragoon Regiments ahead of the army to scout out any ambushing forces and to skirmish with any enemy scouts. The Militia cavalry regiments ride out on the flanks of the column, scouring the countryside for enemy troop movements and informing the populace of their new protectors.
The main column of the Army is organized with 5 Regiments of irregulars forming the vanguard, followed by the line Infantry Regiments, between the line Regiments are the various Engineer and artillery groups. The rear of the line is covered by 5 Regiments of Irregulars and the Hussars. The Cossacks are tasked with riding along the column and reinforcing any point which may come under attack.
Once in Sochi the Siege Artillery and Engineers will prepare for a potential siege of the naval fort, the Irregulars and elements of cavalry will secure the town and the Infantry will support the Engineers and Artillery as they demand the surrender of the small garrison in the fort. If they surrender then the artillery and Engineers, along with two infantry regiments will garrison the Fort.
