The King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania, Elector of Saxony, etc etc. calls upon all the belligerents of the war over the succession of Spain to halt their activities and come to the peace table. It is essential for the good of all Europe that these hostilities end now, before all civilised peoples (and Turks ) are engulfed in total war. He beseeches all powers to come and make their entreaties, for the good of all.

Portugal seconds this motion.
This conflict is wrong at a time when negotiations are still going on. The people of Europe have been let down by both sides because their governments have acted in a reckless and irresponsible manner. After this year's events Portugal is urging both sides to put aside the rhetoric, get around the negotiating table and work things out.

The Kingdom of France expresses its unreserved willingness to negotiate a peace with the Grand Alliance. It is with sadness that the Sun King has born the burden of kingship through such times of strife. For the inheritors of Rome to fight among ourselves when the Mohammedan scourge marches under black banners across Christian soil is an affront to the dignity of Europe.

In furtherance, before negotiating the terms of French assistance in the defence of Europe against the Ottoman scourge, Philip V must be recognized the King of Spain and his place in the line of French succession accepted by opposing belligerent powers.
Territorial transfers to this end are negotiable.

I don't think anyone will dispute Philip's succession at this point, but it will probably be best to drop the part about recognising his place in the line of French succession... let's talk about that, it is a highly charged issue. It would be best, however, if the belligerents came to the table.

It is with regret that France must emphasize the point that should French aid be forthcoming against the Turk, its laws of succession must remain sovereign and free from the interference of intrusive and meddlesome Germans.

The Kingdom of Denmark-Norway recognises Phillip V of Spain as the sole legitimate ruler of Spain, and the place of Phillip V in the line of French succession.
Desired belligerence from the Anglo-Dutch, failing to recognise Danish sovereignty over the Sound, have led to this outcome.

Perhaps Freddie didn't see it but ol'Bill had withdrawn it's fleet from the Sound.

"Desired belligerence" - we'll see whether you did manage to or not. The decision to engage was made yesterday - Denmark was presented with the following options by the Admin - "The Danish have the option to engage, or let the fleet through." Admin was processing other combats, and was going to process this one next. Right click on image and follow link ^

Russia is willing to recognize Phillip V as ruler of Spain but will not agree to his position in the French line of succession.

France will fight until it is accorded the respect and dignity her status affords. Her laws of succession are non-negotiable and a sovereign matter. Those powers unwilling to recognize the sovereignty of France in this concern ought to practice caution.

HR&SH is deeply disappointed that negotiations appear to be stillborn. How many must die before Europe may once again see peace?

France also hastens to add that Russia had already offered to France her support in regard to the status of Phillip V of Spain and his position in the succession of Louis XIV and that, with the addition of Russia defaulting on French loans, risks losing credibility as a serious power.

Russia has made no official declaration on the matter. Those who shake hands with the devil should not point fingers.
