With the situation rapidly deteriorating in Eastern Europe and the Baltic, Austria is stepping in to offer mediation in order to prevent the overlapping of Europe's current wars and the further unnecessary entanglement of the alliance systems
Let us find a peaceful resolution as quickly as possible for the conflicts ravaging Eastern Europe!

HH Augustus II seconds HIM's offer to mediate, it is essential this incident is not escalated, with Europe already in such a precarious position.

We thank the political support of His Highness Augustus II in this most trying of times. We are glad that Saxony and Poland also support Austria's peace drive
The Prussians have also made known their support of Austrian mediation to his Imperial Highness Leopold I
Austria would like to make clear that it is offering to mediate this latest conflict between the Dutch and the Russians
Austria demands an immediate ceasefire between the Dutch and the Russian Empire - there is to be an immediate cessation of fighting
Once Dutch and Russian Empire have agreed to stop fighting, they may both submit their issues and complaints to this mediation session, so that we may work out a deal
Austria suggests: An immediate peace between the Dutch and Russian Empire with out annexations of indemnities

Russia is happy for mediation, it has no desire for a war with the Dutch, the Dutch who were once so obliging and kind friends. Before entering talks Russia wishes to reiterate that it was the Dutch who were so desirous of conflict.

His Imperial Highness, Leopold I, is extremely pleased to hear this latest news. He has already dispatched diplomatic representatives to the court of his ally, the Three Kingdoms.
We shall talk to our ally and bring them to the table for talks. In the meantime, let us take no more military steps that may escalate the situation
Austria reaffirms its interest in avoiding war with Russia. Leopold I remembers the times of the Holy Alliance between Austria, Poland and Russia, and how the three drove the invading forces of the near East out of Hungary.
"We will never support any course of action that will lead directly to a state of war between Austria and Russia. Let this offer of mediation be the clearest example of this policy!" - Leopold I

May i make it clear that there was no declaration of war merely the intent to perform peacekeeping in the region and deter further bloodshed.
Russia and Peter who i once called friend murdered my men in cold blood and should pay reparations.
That being said the Dutch Republic does not recognize any conflict with the Russians since no formal declaration has been made.

The Dutcch fired the first shots and the Dutch attacked Russian positions without a declaration of war. By all rights Russia is entitled to reparations, but we are willing to let the Dutch off the hook in return for a full apology.

An apology seems a very generous term, His Imperial Highness would certainly take it. As with other conflicts, confusion has had a negative influence once again
The Austrian state will compensate the Dutch Republic for the damage inflicted on them
The Grand Alliance currently has far more pressing strategic matters to attend elsewhere, so I'd rather see the back of this entire ludicrous episode as soon as possible
The most honourable Russian Tsar is offering peace today, and today we shall take it!

If Austria is in the business of providing reparations for parties involved then Russia should like to see reparations for the significant loss of artillery which resulted from Dutch aggression.

OOC: And Leopold I would like a new horse on which to ride
The Dutch were landing in Swedish territory, not Russian. The fact that Russia had occupied it does not automatically make it Russian, not until Sweden has agreed at least. Russia sent out a warning, fair enough, but a poor one at that. This being said, and in the defence of the Dutch, there were plenty of diplomatic avenues that could have been explored and tried, such as a payoff, a regional conference or international conference. Really, the Dutch were doing nothing wrong, merely landing a small force. It was Russia who saw this as an aggressive move - army's have many purposes other than fighting other armies. However, Russia fired the first shots, and now out of complete and utter respect, Austria is trying to clean up this entire mess so as to prevent the total fuck up of a situation from getting out of hand
Austria will not pay reparations for the loss of cannons to the Russians. This is a peace with out annexations or indemnities or reparations of any kind, (OOC): because God forbid the trouble this entire game, and everyone playing will face, as is the case when ever we play these online games, should one of you demand even a penny from the other!
None of the powers involved want a war to break out in this region. The Dutch will apologise, and then that will be the end of it!

OOC: It was worth a shot.
Russia maintains that Dutch intervention on the side of a nation at war with Russia was a deliberate and flagrant act of aggression towards the Russian state. Russia was abundantly clear in the preceding weeks about our stance on the issue, but the hubristic Dutch came on regardless. Now that the matter is settled and Billy has had his spanking we can return to more important matters.

His Imperial Majesty is grateful that the Russian Tsar has so kindly accepted the apology of one of Austria's chief ally's. We are pleased that on this day a Great Northern War has been avoid, and that now the great powers of Europe can return to the matters that concern them first and foremost. In this period of reflection, may we move closer in our relations with each other so that such a small dispute does not again threaten to engulf Europe in such a large conflict. We can proclaim on this day that there is peace between the Russian Empire, her ally's included, and the Grand Alliance
In the name of his Imperial Majesty, these meetings are now officially at an end after a successful resolution. We have our Great Peace.
